AustralianFootball.com Celebrating the history of the great Australian game
The Lions commenced in Division Three of the Southern Football League in 2013 when they performed superbly to get as far as the grand final, only to lose by 39 points to Doveton Eagles. Subsequent seasons saw them continuing to perform strongly until 2016 when they failed to qualify for the finals for the first time, a failure they repeated the following year. In 2018 they commenced in the SFL's newly formed Division Four competition and did well to top the ladder ahead of the finals. Once there, however, they underperformed badly and succumbed to a "straight sets" exit at the hands of Lyndhurst and Cerberus.
